In story mode, make sure that your map's timeline is playing.

On the timeline, select when your looped portion should start and drag the cursor to the position where it should end. You will see that this selected portion will replay on loop.

If you're not satisfied with the result, you can click on Reset timeline state and try again.
WARNING: Note that if the timeline portions of two consecutive slides in your story overlap, the story would play the next slide from the exact position in the timeline where the previous slide was.
