When you are building an Alluvial diagram you have a couple of options to distribute the nodes and links along the width of your chart. Here's how you do it:

- Navigate to the Format settings and select the Alluvial (step-by-step) from the Mode panel.

Then, under Spread select either Evenly or Based on step values.

- Based on step values will distribute the nodes of the diagram based on the value of the Step defined on your column bindings in the Data tab.
- Evenly will distribute the nodes equally in the width of the chart.
