When you are making an Alluvial sankey, you have two distribution options for the nodes and links along the width of your chart.

Navigate to the Mode & setup settings and select Alluvial (step-by-step) mode.

Then, under Spread, select either Evenly or Based on step values.

Based on step values, will distribute the nodes of the sankey based on the values of the Step from and Step to, defined on your column bindings in the Data tab.

Evenly, will distribute the nodes equally in the width of the chart.
