How to delete your Flourish account

No longer want to be using Flourish? Sad to see you go. Here's how you can delete your Flourish account.

Head to your account page

You can access this by clicking on your profile.

Click to delete your account

This can be found at the bottom of the page.

Make sure you understand what deleting your account means

If you choose to delete your account, your published projects will be unpublished and the embedded projects in external pages will display error messages.

All your uploaded files and data, including uploaded information and unpublished projects, will be deleted permanently. 

In addition, projects that rely on your Live API key will stop functioning.

TIP: If you change your mind about deleting your Flourish account within 14 days, you can restore your account, including all published projects and embeds. All you need to do is click “Reactivate Flourish Account” or contact us to restore your account.

Warning: After 14 days, it will not be possible to retrieve your account, and your projects, embeds and your account will be permanently deleted.

Check if you want to download your content before deletion

Unless your account has been terminated by us due to a breach of our Terms, you can download or export your user content and projects either:

• Before you request account deletion (for free users) - see here for more information about image download; or
• Before your subscription expires or terminates (for Business or Enterprise or legacy Personal users) - see here.

Confirm the deletion of your account

For security reasons, you will be asked to enter your email, and password and to confirm your decision by typing "DELETE MY ACCOUNT"

Your account deletion will start

A progress bar will be visible but you may close this page. When the deletion is complete you will receive an email confirmation.

Deletions that have to be processed by us

Please note that the above deletion workflow is currently not available for the following users:

• Users who have published templates (they will be prompted on the account settings page to contact support for help)
• Users who are on a legacy individual subscription plan
• Users who are part of a company
• Any other users who prefer to contact us directly to request deletion.

Deleting your account will remove your account from our system, deleting any visualizations and any personal information that we hold about you. This may take a few days to be fully processed. To delete your account:

Send an email to hello@flourish.studio requesting your account to be deleted. Make sure you use the same email address as the email address you are signed up to Flourish with.

We will reply and ask for you to confirm that you would like your account to be deleted. This is to verify that the request is from you.

Once we have received your confirmation, we will delete your account on Flourish within 14 days.
