If you have created a Text annotator visualization but want to lock a certain annotation into view, follow the steps below.
NOTE: This help doc refers to text annotators that use the On click annotation display. You can choose whether to make your visualization interactive or to always display your annotations by heading to the Annotations styling > Show notes options in the Preview tab.
- 1
-
Create a new Text annotator visualization.
- 2
-
Edit your visualization according to your branding guidelines or personal preferences. Once you are happy with the look and feel of your Text annotator, click on the Create a story button in the top right-hand corner of the page.
- 3
-
Click on the annotation you would like open by default. In the example above, this is the annotation that refers to the word "Thames".
- 6
-
In the top left-hand corner of the story editor, choose Navigation style > None. This will remove the navigation bar at the top of the story.
- 7
- Export and publish your story. You have now created a single-slide story that, unlike standalone visualizations, can lock certain elements of your project into view!
